Does anyone have a source for a wire crimper tool to crimp the metal ‘bullet’ ends. That bullet ends needs to be crimped all the way around the fitting. Thank you.

My soldering skills are not good. I’d prefer the crimper if it exists.

Google ferrule crimping tool, and I’m sure you will find one that works for you.

I have a proper “4 way “ crimping tool if you are interested. I do, however, always add a dab of solder at the tip and then round this with a small file or emery paper. Dielectric grease of course.

Also, be sure you are buying bullet ends which actually CAN be crimped as some are much too hard.

hi I am with MG, try soldering a few items and hone your skills, with a little practice you can do it, I use a block of wood under the bullet ends and wire, to get them hot enough to melt the solder crimping may distort the bullet ends, may not make a good conection,? RHODE ISLAND wiring solders ALL there ends, and make great wiring kits. and have the correct connectors for joining the wires together. no need for you to solder my 2 cents 37Ragtopman, Maine

A problem you can encounter is if you happen to "over crimp" you risk pinching off some of the wire strands and weakening some of the others. Lots of us have done it. If that happens, you're right back where you started. As others here have suggested, solder them. Practice on some old wire until you feel confident. Also, it's important that you use the correct flux for electrical wire to help clean the workpiece and aid in good solder flow. Make sure you have a soldering gun that is in good working order too. YOU CAN DO IT!

Thank you for your quick response. I would be interested in. Using your set if you have no future plans for it. Let me know how much you want for it so I can make arrangements with you. In the meantime, from the responses I’ve received, I think I should brush up on my soldering skills. But so far, it’s a distant plan B.
