I have installed floaters on several cars--model a pu with 60hp, 34 coupe, 37 sedan, 38 sedan and an almost original 36 4 door sedan all of these worked out great, I think that the flathead teds are the best--makes them stop better than hydraulics

There are two different wedges for 36. If your brake pedal has the number 17 embossed on the arm inside the car you need 68-2050 which is the later style. Early style is the same as 35 Ford 48-2050 the 68- style results in a smoother brake.

I have the older style floaters with star wheel adjusters on my "35 Fordor. They work great. The brakes feel and stop like modern hydraulic drum brakes.
