I removed the handles and door trim panel on my 40 Tudor yesterday. The door check retainer was broken. I repaired that. The window regulator needs adjustment also. I noticed that the inside door handle was loose.. When I removed the door panel, only one of the three screws were present on the handle pivot. The other two were in the bottom of the door. I think the last person didn’t have the correct size screws/bolts and the holes might be stripped. They just spin when i tried to put them in. I have a good selection at home and nothing works. Does anyone know the correct thread pitch? I work at dealership and I have a large selection. I might just use self tapping if I have no other choice.

Those were #12 screws. You may have to drill and tap to 1/4" if the last guy ruined the threads.

Thank you again. The next issue will be the window regulator adjustment.
