If your wiper motor is in need of repair while you have it out you can send to Ficken Wiper Service. https://rebuildingtricowipers.com/

When working under the dash board on these early Fords, I have found it useful to first remove the front seat so you can lie on your back and look up to better see and access the work to be done.

At our age, there is no "simple" method to remove the wiper motor. One must crawl beneath the instrument panel and remove the spring load clip that keeps both arms in place. Also, at that time, the vacuum hose should be removed from the wiper motor. The radio and the heater are not in the way to do this. Then, working from below the hood, remove the two 5/16" bolts that fasten the wiper motor bracket to the dash panel. You could I suppose simply allow that assembly to fall to the floor of the car. Installing this assembly will require a person on both sides of the dash panel. One to hold the bracket / motor in place while the other installs the bolts through the dash panel.
