I am trying to install a new gas tank from Bob in my -41 business coupe but I have problems. I can´t understand in which order I have to work. Do I have to put the mounting brackets on the frame or on the thank first. I don´t remember in which order I worked when reinstalling the old tank. Thanks for advices about this.

Greetings, I just finished doing this on my 42 and, basically, with the tank underneath, put the front edge up on the lip in the middle onto the tab with the mounting hole. Slide the tank forward as much as possible to give you room in back, push the back up, and you should have enough room to slip in the two brackets, bolts and nuts. There are captive nuts on the tank (at least originally) that the bolts go into from underneath. Before tightening up everything, make sure your tank filler hose is on and that you remembered the gas sending unit wire. There are extra holes to locate it side to side if necessary. Hope this helped. Enjoy! 42oink
