I'm 3 plus years into a restoration project. Trying to install emergency brake cables and hardware in rear hubs where there were none. My question is what is the correct location of cable clip #2113? I know it's placed on the cable between the cable exit tube and wire spring but is there a correct measurement say from the rear pawl? Thanks Bob A.

Bob, I could not find any specific measurement in any of my literature. From memory, it should be placed so the spring is not compressed.

The clip fits between the end of the spring and the tube for the brake cable. This prevents any part of the spring from entering the tube. Some of the aftermarket cables have the spring too long and it may be necessary to remove some of the spring length. Before modifying your cable check on fordbarn.com and post the spring length question.
