I have a 51 F1 Ford, V8 239ci. I am retiming it and I cannot swivel the distributor to the left enough (water inlet in the way) to make the timing marks mesh. Can I move it one tooth to the right without messing with re-setting the plug wires? Many thanks Peter

Mark the rotor in relation to the distributor body. Then, remove the entire distributor. When re-installing it, rotate the entire assembly away from the water inlet. Just be certain the rotor lines up with the mark you had made on the body. yep, easy as that
