Looking for some help on reassembling the trunk release mechanism on my 50 Fordor. I've read and re-read the shop manual but words don't describe it well. Hoping someone out there has a photo of this in detail. I've placed the parts in as many configurations as I can and still don't see how it works. Any assistance is appreciated. Thanks Michael

Go to the shoeboxford.com web site. Someone there will have the answer and probably pictures.

Yes, have that but still stumped. If someone had a detailed photo of the inside of the mechanism, that may help solve the puzzle.

Do you have the photo 56 on page 238 of the shop manual? That is a pretty good detail of the mechanism.

Yep, have that too. The engineering is escaping me. Don't see how the lever bar pivots if it's bolted to the trunk lock.

Please use the terms to describe the parts used in the drawing so I can understand your problem better. If you are referring to the trigger being able to pivot, it will use the shoulder on the shoulder bolt as its pivot point.
