I am trying to contact the owner of a 39 coupe that was displayed at the Goodguys Del mar event 8 years ago. Would like to discuss if the coupe may be for sale and wish to confirm what the colour is. 1) Can anyone help me to either contact the owner OR provide my details so they can contact me. 2) Can anyone confirm what color this car is ??? Any assistance will be appreciated. I am based in Sydney Australia. stephen@transcomindustries.com

Have you checked out the color chips for 1939? They are probably available in the clubs restoration guidelines or some of the on line color places. I am not into '39's but it looks like it might be a stock color (of course there is no telling what my monitor did with it). If it is close to a stock color you might want to just go with the stock color. Charlie Stephens

The '38-'39 book shows a Dove Gray and Folkstone Gray available on the '39 deluxe. The pictured car looks close to the Folkstone Gray color that I have seen on '40 cars that were supposed to be original paint. The pictured car obviously has a high-end paint job and has much more shine than the original cars I've seen.

Thanks for your feedback and ideas. I would really like to make contact with the owner to talk a bit more about the car. Will certainly research the clubs colour charts, thanks. Stephen.
