I need to resleeve a rear wheel housing race. Is there a suggestion as to a supplier. Also, would you know what the I.D. and length of the sleeve is. My concern is weakening the housing with too small of an I.D. sleeve, although I will keep a radius on the undercut.

C&G Early Ford Parts in Escondido, CA should have the sleeves and they are high quality. 760-740-2400. You might want to give John Connelly (Columbia Two Speed Parts) a call. He can advise specs and even do the resleeve if you don't want to attempt it. (770) 761-6800. Both advertise in the V-8 TIMES.

Good advice from Jerry. Sleeving the axle housings is not a do it yourself job, unless you have a lathe with a big swing, as they must be turned for a press fit. A couple things are important. Be sure the housings are straight, and that the sleeves are properly hardened. At one time, the market was plagued by soft foreign made sleeves.
