looking for help on how to id an early ford engine block that my dad left as part of the stuff in his garage when he passed away. I really have no idea what year it might be but he had at one time a 40 ford convert, a 29 pickup, and there is still a 53 pickup & a mustang out there. i'm sure it's not from a mustang, but if someone can help tell me where to look on it. I don't know if it's worth trying to sell or if I should just scr*p it.

A picture would help us i.d. engine. What state are items in and is 53 F-100 to be sold?

Yes, a picture or two would really help to ID this engine. If you can't post here you could email to me at john.mason@zoominternet.net and I could post them ps... don't scr*p nuffin....you could possibly cause some of us old guys to have some kind of an attack
