Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how the switch rod and linkage goes on 40 sedan? My motor does not mount to fire wall like most, the tabs are welded to a brace.I think some were like this!It may take a different set-up,not sure. Can anyone explain?

Forty, to my knowledge there were two types of wiper mounts. One mount bolted to the firewall and the other mount was spot welded to the firewall. Are the brace and tabs on the firewall?

There is a diagram on page 637 of the green book. It is available on line at the Northern Ohio Regional Group web site. A link to their web site is available from the home page of this site.

Yes,the bracket is bolted to the firewall. Is there any rubber bushings that go between motor and bracket? The lever that the rod connects to is rubbing part of the vent bracket.
