Anybody know where I can get a 1/2" needle valve for a stromberg 97 carb. I stripped the standard one, so need to replace with a 1/2". I'm going to retap with a 1/2" tap. Please advise. Thanks

If you are in reference to the fuel inlet fitting, I believe Vintage Speed in Florida has oversize, probably Max Musgrove, Charlie Schwindler, and Ken Isidor also.

Yes, I am talking about the fuel inlet needle valve and seat, mine I found to be stripped out, so I thought I would retap 1/2" and see if I could order this size to make it work.???

Once the threads are stripped out of the body, it is tough to repair. A good shop may be able to Helicoil the inlet port, and/or make up a bushing to hold the needle seat. Ford used very fine, and often odd, threads, so standards SAE taps don't always work. You may be able to find a donor carb with a usable body.
