Unless you are a purist of the first order, forget the '36 box and go with a '37-'40 box. You'll think it's a different car altogether. The '36 box does make a very nice anchor.

Are you looking to purchase a '36 Ford steering box? I have one that I am not planning to use on my cars. Let me know if you might be interested. John

In the late fifties, I replaced the worn-out steering box in my 32 Pickup with one out of a 56 Ford pickup. I had to shorten the input shaft, and have it machined to fit my 32 steering wheel, but it was a "bolt-on" replacement. Since wrecked 56 pickups are no longer a "dime-a-dozen", as they were in 1958, EZ Steer is reproducing this popular steering box. This is great, IF you have a 29-34 steering with a fore and aft drag link, but it won't work on your 36, which has the later "cross-steering". Perhaps someday EZ Steer will "clone" the later design, but for now, I'd look for a 37-40, as Alan has suggested.

Unless you are Tiger Woods new girlfriend or somehow associated with Charlie Sheen, Windstream.net won't be of much interest, but http://www.ezsteer.net/ezsteer-32-34 is interesting.
