My brother owns a 1946 Ford Super Deluxe Tudor that our father bought brand new in 1946. My brother is gifting the car to my daughter. She and her husband plan on completing the rebuild. I need to have it hauled from San Diego, CA to Bakersfield, CA. There are a lot of companies that say they can do it and the prices vary widely. Can anyone recommend a company that can do this? Thank you

Does the car run or will it need to be winched onto the trailer? Open or enclosed trailer? Time frame? All of these factors will need to be considered when choosing a transporter. A Uhaul rental trailer might be the best option even if you have to rent a truck to tow it with. If you want to go with a transport service there are several transporters who advertise on the HAMB and Ford Barn that have excellent reputations. Bill's Auto Works is one of the highly rated ones. He has several additional transporters that he recommends as well.
