hey ford guys, when i got the 85hp sedan a year ago it had motorcraft BTS8 plugs installed. after removal they looked a little carbo fouled. i knew the carb was old and car was not driven that much and slower when it was. couldnt find the BTS8 motorcraft so went with autolite 386.i have replaced with another set of 386 after the new carb and 1k miles and look to read well. just wondering what you guys prefer in spark plugs? tom.

Champion H10's are the only plugs to use in any stock Flat Head V8; H10C if you can,(they're copper.)

Can you buy the H-10 and NGK plugs in the 18 mm that a '37 engine requires?

Metic was not being used in our country until about maybe the year 2000. All old Fords had SAE threads, not metric.

Because a '37 Ford HAS NO METRIC THREADS! EVERY NUT ,BOLT , SCREW, AND WASHER IS SAE .AMERICA DIDN'T GET ONBOARD WITH METRIC UNTIL YEARS LATER.

Steve, You are just a bit off on this one. 1933 Fords used Champion C-7 18mm plugs. 1934-1937 Fords used Champion 7 18mm plugs. The Champion H10 is a 14mm plug, introduced in 1938 and used through the end of the flathead era. Ken
