Would anybody know if Ford ever made 21 stud 1937 cast iron heads with firing order cast on them or are these aftermarket? Also did Ford or any others ever produce cast iron 21 stud heads ('37-38) with 14mmspark plug holes? Thank You

Most of the ones that I have seen with the firing order on them are Ford heads, with script and will have commercial vehicle prefix on the part number. 77-6050-A

I hate to say things in print that I am not sure of but I am going to risk it. I always thought the heads you are describing came from parts made for the English military. A lot of them showed up when Ford Parts obsolete was importing 21 stud engines from England. Charlie Stephens

Maybe you could look on some of the military sites for some of the early flat head parts. kurt
