VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)
HOW DO I SHOW MY EMAIL ADDRESS ALONG WITH MY USERNAME? You can LogIn on the Forum, and select PREFERENCES. On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

Has anyone figured out how the make the tool(s), or modify common tools,to do these adjustments?

It seems that the K R Wilson tools to do them are long gone, and not available to make these adjustments.

If anyone can tell me, or show me what tool(s) are needed, or show photos of tools that they made or modified to do it, I would really appreciate it; as would many of the other members!!!

did you try a MOTOR'S manual from the 1950's,
these are cheap and are very help full, have how to do and the spec's on each model and make of cars

I have all of the specs; toe, caster, and camber,and I have the toe in/ toe out tools; but one of the guys on the forum made the "channel shaped" caster tool that's in the manual.I don't know if he made the camber tool.I want to talk with him about it, so I can make them. Caster tool (to make the car track straight), and , and one to adjust camber( inclination of the tire; top in, or top out) There is another also "channel shaped' to do camber. His caster tools looks very similar to the KR Wilson tool to do those adjustments.I need to talk to him to see what those tools entail so I can make them to do my 1950 Crestliner..One can view them in the shop manual, but not enough of either tool can't be seen to make one! No modern shop can adjust either one of those two specs, with their tools!!!

You absolutely can't adjust caster or camber witout those special tools by K R WILSON, which are not available!! ( And no modern shop can do them either, because they do not have those special tools for caster and camber on my 1950 Crestliner!!) specs are all over, but the special tools??? I recently read( I think on this forum) that a member got lucky, and found a shop the still had those special tools!! and got his done. I think it was in the last 4-6 days that I read about it, on this forum, and he was in a western state??

Is that 50's Motor Manual available?; and does it show "How to adjust caster and camber"? If it does maybe I can make the tools needed; ( (1) for caster, and (1) for camber! Do I google; "1950's Motors Manual" to see availability? Thanks!

This catalog on E-bay has drawings of the Manzel tools used to adjust camber and caster, but I don't know if it would do you any good as it does not have the dimensions.

I now have a high bid on a "1950 Motors Manual" on Ebay.

If they fully describe in the manual , the processes, with photos; I can probably make the two adjustment tools needed for caster, and camber.

Thank you all for any help I have been given so far!!I'll let you know how I make out!!

I think the dimensions could be ascertained from looking at the pictures and seeeing what they do, and where they have to fit!!?? Maybe??

Steve, all members of the Early Ford V-8 Club can receive the V-8 Time magazine. In the magazine there is a section that tells members how to contact an Adviser. If you are not a member of the Club, you should not try to contact the Adviser as these people are volunteers who agreed to help other Club members. This is one of the advantages of belonging to a Club.
