Now that LeBaron Bonney has closed, can anyone recommend a supplier for 66" wide, Cobra Grain roof material for a station wagon.

I did contact Cartouche but at this time they don't offer Station Wagon interior kits. Someone will call me about the width of "Cobra Grain" they can offer.

If you look in the 41-48 Ford book page 6-5 you will find that Brown Landau Grain Deck Material 66" wide (Ford Spec. M-2600-G) until approximately Nov 1,1946. After that it appears that both black and brown roof covering was used through 1948. There is no mention of Cobra Grain. Now I have brown roof covering on my 42 furnished by Labaron Bonney several years ago but I have no idea what the grain is or what either Landau Grain or Cobra grain is supposed to look like. Please note that according to the book you roof covering should be brown if built before Nov, 1946 then black or brown after that date.

All correct 42. The car that I'm looking for the material for is a late '46 that has the factory, black, roof material and needs to be replaced. The "Cobra Grain" is a word kicked around, but nowhere in any of the Ford Archives is it used. If you can get an old LeBaron catalog it's the description they use. Also, according to the book Fabulous Ford Woodies, there is evidence that black roofs were used on some cars as early as mid year, 1946. Boy how we all will miss Lebaron Bonney.

Thanks '37, but the roof material for the Station Wagon needs to be 66" wide. The 60" material won't do.

Thank's to all that replied. Someone on the A.A.C.A. site posted that Ecklers has the material in 66" width.

Well, it looks like I'm back to square one. I just received an E-Mail from Ecklers telling me that they do not in fact, have the material in 66" widths even though it's advertised in their catalog as 66".
