With my 37, I opened the windshield slightly for winter storage, thinking it might be good to let the rubber seal relax during the five month storage, to try to help it not take a permanent shape, might help it seal better. (rubber on my car is relatively new, replaced six or seven years ago) What do you all think of this? Good idea? Bad idea? Makes no difference Einstein, don't over-think everything?

I just installed my windshield on my 1936 pickup, and I want the windshield gasket to stay sealed in the shape that I struggled to get it in position, when 4 people assisted in getting the windshield frame installed. So, I would vote to leave it closed.

I would leave it open, just a crack. I tried to open mine (37 Fordor) last week and it was stuck at the left front corner. I managed to get it open but damaged the rubber seal some. I glued the seal and closed the windshield until the glue dried. Now I plan to leave it open a little and leave some moth balls on the floor.
