Yes, April 7, 1947.........Automotive pioneer, Henry Ford died at his beloved home, Fairlane, in Dearborn, Michigan. Henry went from horse drawn wagons to V-8 powered station wagons. We would not have this wonderful hobby and interest we do today, without his creations. Thanks Henry!

thank you mr. ford. i enjoy a 1933 stationwagon we have had for 43 years. raised our children in it on many v-8 club activities. will be at salem oregon for national meet in sept. stephen, fords forevermore

Thanks, I knew Henry died in 1947 but not sure of date, same year as my eldest Ford. I have a long list of my Fords, including a tractor, following this but want to thank you for posting - Bob

Henry Ford died at his Fairlane estate during storm that cut off electricity. Some commented that he "left as he arrived on earth, in the dark". 4/7/47. My Ford convertible was "born" in 1947 when I was 12 years old!
