New user here. Just got a 41 super deluxe. The front spring is broken. What years will interchange.42,46,47,48? Sorry if this has already been explained. I am not familiar with this forum yet. Dennis K Anderson Maryville Tn

Is the main leaf broken or others broken? If the main leaf is still good you can use leaves from a 40 spring to make the repair. Essentially the '41 spring, according to the Ford Chassis Parts Catalog is by itself. The '42-48 spring is longer and the '40 spring is a tad shorter. Check around with those parts vendors that have new old stock (NOS) parts. They probably have a new spring if you need it.

Try Eaton Spring www.eatondetroitspring.com They say they have the specifications to make any antique car leaf spring. They made a rear spring for my station wagon.

Try Little Dearborn and Mike Dennis. They may have a NOS or a NORS spring. It will be less expensive than having Eaton make a new spring.
