Drain the tank, and disconnect the fuel line. Remove the fill pipe, cut the hose and plan on replacing it with a new one ( the old hose will be hard as a rock). Disconnect the wire going to the fuel sending unit, this can be accessed thru the opening in the trunk floor. Unbolt the tank, slide it to the left till it will drop low enough to clear the frame, then just slide the tank out to the right. All this is much easier if you have the car on a hoist. Of course use extra care when working around gasoline, no open flames, saws, grinders, etc.
