Does anyone know what the correct fasteners are to attach door panels to the door on a 1951 F-1? I have heard push in clips and I have heard of a washer/screw type application similar to the headliner. any help would be appreciated. Thanks Ronald

If the holes in the door are about 1/4", spring clips are used. If the holes are smaller, it is likely that screws with cup washers were used. My 44-52 parts book isn't specific. The earlier trucks used screws, in most cases.

I agree with Bob, the size of the holes determines the type of fastener. If you have no holes in the doors, then your truck came without door panels. I believe the 5 star cab was the only one with door panels.

The "5-Star Extra" cab had door panels. The standard cab was called "5-Star." Kind of like the old Chevrolet cars. They had a standard "Deluxe" model and an optional "Super Deluxe" model.
