Hey Mike, How do you restore the gauge faces on a 40 Standard? I ordered a face kit from Bob Drake.and the speedometer face mounting holes do not line up and it does not have the word "WALTHAM" under the odometer.Did all 40 standards have Waltham on them or would this kit be correct for some speedometers? Thanks very much Ronnie

Ronnie, Both Waltham and Stewart-Warner supplied speedometers to the Ford Motor Co. in 1940. While they are "similar" they are certainly not identical. That you are now finding out. The Waltham speedometers are not nearly as common ans the S-W and most likely, That's why ol' Bob repop'd the S-W face plate. Mike Kubarth
