any suggestions on opening a remote cable rumble seat before I resort to a pry bar? Never mind, as usual my wife figured it out!

Don't keep us in suspense. Tell us how your wife opened the seat...

Lift the seat back and crawl in use a screw driver to retract the lock bolt.

I can state from first hand experience that it is pretty well impossible to pry a locked rumble/trunk lid on up on s '36 and earlier if it is locked. I used a pair of '41 Ford electric convertible top motors on the deck lid of my '36 coupe to convert it to a remote, motor operated lid... Pretty slick.. Someone else thought the remote electric lifts were pretty neat, they tried to pry the lid up to steal them. Sure made a mess of the body around the deck lid, it never did come up.

She simply pulled it back while putting a little pressure on lower part. Made me feel like an idiot (again)
