any suggestions on opening a remote cable rumble seat before I resort to a pry bar? Never mind, as usual my wife figured it out! This message was edited by old green on 8-7-16 @ 8:10 AM

Don't keep us in suspense. Tell us how your wife opened the seat...

Lift the seat back and crawl in use a screw driver to retract the lock bolt.

I can state from first hand experience that it is pretty well impossible to pry a locked rumble/trunk lid on up on s '36 and earlier if it is locked. I used a pair of '41 Ford electric convertible top motors on the deck lid of my '36 coupe to convert it to a remote, motor operated lid... Pretty slick.. Someone else thought the remote electric lifts were pretty neat, they tried to pry the lid up to steal them. Sure made a mess of the body around the deck lid, it never did come up. She simply pulled it back while putting a little pressure on lower part. Made me feel like an idiot (again)
