The clip does not appear to be unusable just get it flat. I have never seen any new clips for sale, either find a good used or remake one from a washer. The groove in the clip is supposed to be slightly V shaped.

I lost one of mine and used a brake clip for a replacement. the clip that secures the parking brake lever to the pin on the rear brake shoe. easy to find at any auto parts store

Hello - I am fixing the steering column and column shift mechanisms on my 1940 Ford Coupe. I damaged the clip that secures the shift mechanism and the shift fulcrum pin to the top of the column. I can't seem to find a replacement clip. Any ideas where I could find a replacement or a suitable alternative part? Pic is attached. Thanks Eric
