When Fomoco put tube shocks on late 47 and 48 autos, where did they mount the bottom of the front shock? Thanks

I believe that the lower shock mount was on the axle.

You should find a hole in the axle about midway between the kingpin and the wishbone. The mounting bolt runs through the shock and then through the axle.

when i did mine i had to take the wishbone axle and spring to a machine shop with a bridgeport to drill the hole.
