If you look carefully, that part covers a wide range of models and years from '39 thru the '52 PU.

Thanks for the comback. I looked at the one in C & G, but that number lists it for the pickup or a Mercury. Is it the same part?

Be sure you have the "door check" rubber bumpers that slide over the arms. If there is a detent, chances are that without the bumper, you are going past it. C&G sells the arm and bumper as B-702828-S for $7.

Is there any way to restore the ability of the door (tudor) to stay open at full swing. There seems to be a detente at full open position which slides between a pair of jaws. Everything is worn and the jaws appear to be unadjustable. C & G sells check arms for some models, but not 52s. Any help on this? Thanks
