Is there any way to restore the ability of the door (tudor) to stay open at full swing. There seems to be a detente at full open position which slides between a pair of jaws. Everything is worn and the jaws appear to be unadjustable. C & G sells check arms for some models, but not 52s. Any help on this? Thanks

Be sure you have the "door check" rubber bumpers that slide over the arms. If there is a detent, chances are that without the bumper, you are going past it. C&G sells the arm and bumper as B-702828-S for $7.

Thanks for the comback. I looked at the one in C & G, but that number lists it for the pickup or a Mercury. Is it the same part?

If you look carefully, that part covers a wide range of models and years from '39 thru the '52 PU.
