if you buy a 41-48 type switch, check with Larry Caplan to see if the repro knob will work on that switch. My original knob does not line up correctly when put on a later switch. The same is tru of an original 1939 hot water heater switch.

There are two switches on eBay ending in about three hours: 320487264449. They have the later '46-'48 knobs, but will work in your '40. Check with Larry Caplan (818/363-2849) for the correct '40 knob, and the cigar lighter. If the car has a radio, a special (i.e., hard to find) lighter receptacle is required. Hope this helps.

Larry Caplin in CA has some reproduction 1940 heater knobs and other heater parts. You might try him.

I am having trouble locating the correct heater fan switch for my 40 convertible. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I am also looking for the correct cigar lighter. Thanks
