Sometimes a little knowledge is dangerous. I agree it is 5/8 -18 but what about thread quality and nut hardness? The Green Bible says it should be 356074-S. When you go to the section on fasteners the closest you can find is 356074-S18 which is what I assume is intended. It is described as 5/8-18 (23/32 x 1 1/4") Special hex. nut. Charlie Stephens

These are something you can't pick up at Home Depot or the local hardware store. These are a special extremely hard nut and I would only trust someone like Roy Nacewicz Parts, (313) 383-3673, fordbolts.com. When you buy from Roy or any other reputable supplier you don't need to give them the size and thread. Charlie Stephens
