Sorry for the delay. Here's a NJ company that sells molding, casting supplies and paints .... www.micromark.com/4067 The "4067" at the end of the web address saves you $4.95 in S&H. Option: Phone 1(800)225-1066 and mention that code # if you place an order. Let me know how you make out. Dan

This might help .... search over 70,000 articles using key words like "molding technics" "molding materials" .... http://trc.trains.com/en/Train%20Magazine%20Index.aspx. If any web site there requires a membership ID to view any articles let me know .... I have those and get us in. Dan

Time to think out of the box ... After I'm done working on any of the four familys' cars for the day, my other hobby is model railroading. Like many scale modeling hobbies, people learn how to make molds from different materials and cast their own parts using "plastic" based resins. My guess is a material like that could, without excessive abuse, hold-up as a radio knob. Colors are not a problem and one can machine a hole in the back side to receive the knob shaft. Go googling and investigate something like this. If you feel handy, find an owner of a '41 radio, who would be willing to let you made a mold of their part. Once you have a mold you could provide others with the product. Dan

There is a '41 radio in the classified ads now. Maybe you and the seller could have a discussion.

OK - www.classicautoelectric.com does not have this piece. They may be able to make driver-quality out of aluminum, which I may have to do it there are no other options. Thanks to Joe for the quick response. I'm hoping for another source. Hope someone can help. Len
