Good afternoon. My name is Larry Lyke, and I live in Novi, MI. I have just recently completed a frame-off "resto-rod" restoration of a '34 Tudor Sedan (Model 40). The VIN tag (or, more correctly, the "Serie No." tag) is inscribed to indicate this vehicle was originally built in Quebec, Canada. However, my research doesn't turn up any Ford assembly or manufacturing site in Quebec. From what I can find, it appears that the Canadian mfg. site for the '33-'34 model years was in Walkerville, Ont., not Quebec. So, my question is in regard to the meaning of the reference to Quebec on the Serie tag? Would any memmbers have any insight to this? If not, can you recommend a source for further info. Thanks in advance for your consideration in this.
