My '39 is not level and it's enough to notice. There is a height difference of 1" from one side to the other in the rear. Is there someway to "adjust" the height? Thank you, Phil

It could be as simple as a rebuild for your shocks, but likely will entail disasembly of your springs to grind off the wear ridges and apply new fifth wheel grease. It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it.

check your spring shackles/pins for wear, also make sure your spring is centered and held there with the aquare head bolt that holds the spring pack together. Just fixed a 40 coupe that the tie bolt was broken and the springs had slipped to one side

Also check the "U" bolts that attach the spring to the crossmember. A friends car somehow broke one side and his car was leaning to one side.

In addition to the good advice above, consider swapping the spring end for end when you put it back. Over decades, springs take a "set". Turning them can often restore the height.
