Those locks are very easy to pick. You could also ask around to see if you can try someone elses key in your lock.

Check with the manufacturer of the repo cap. Perhaps they have a suggestion on how to solve the problem. Most of those caps come with two keys, what happened to the second key?

if I had that problem. I would drill out the tumbler carefully., USING A VACUUNM.to catch the filing you could also call a locksmith, they should be able to pick the lock and make you a key, drilling out the lock and buying a new gas cap will be cheaper, my 3 cents 37RAGTOPMAN

Lost key to repro locking gas cap for my 36 Ford. Any ideas on removing the cap without damage to the tank filler pipe? Thanks,
