I tried to take a picture, but it wqs too blurry. I have a digital camera, but can't take a good close up, or I don't know how to operaate it. The latter is probably more true. Thanks.

Well, I have been trying to do it that way. There is a groove in the motor shaft. I guess I just need to keep trying. I put the 90 degree hook in the shaft hole and slide the spring and the plunger push the end of the spring into place so then it will stay. It's just hard to do. Thanks Oh, by the way the replacement fits '32 to '36 models.

Don't give up. What you describe sounds like what is on my 32 (single). Don't know about your tandom setup but that half moon gizmo hooks over the motor shaft and there should be a groove for it to rest in, the spring holds tenson on the half moon thing to keep it on. If there is no groove there on the end of the shaft, there is no way it would stay on. This may be your problem.

I could but not sure how. The motor itself is original for the '36. I'm having trouble securing the arms to the motor and the passenger side tandem. It is hard to get the spring to stay attached after putting the arm through the motor attachment. The arm is at a 90 degree angle. It goes through the hole in the recepter from the motor and the pass side receiver. Then you thread the tandem arm between the two. Getting the arm to stay attached is the problem. In the arm top cover is a half moon that I think goes over the motor arm. What do you think?

Flatfoot, can you post a picture of the arm and the wiper motor shaft? You may have a mismatched wiper motor and arms.
