I am installing a set of 1937 3.78 gears in my 1935 differential.I need to know the correct side carrier bearings to use. The 37 unit uses a larger bearing, will they fit in the 35 housing?

I've been told that there will be a little machining to do for this swap.

Unless you are building a car for show, consider adding an overdrive unit instead of a rear gear swap. The OD allows good low speed power, yet can easily reach hiway speeds. I've had one for about 15 years that gives me a 1/3 reduction in engine revs when engaged. That is why the Colunbia axle was so popular.
