For the 1934 Ford, Gar Wood made fender skirts that were a very popular dealer option. It may have been a direct result of the 1934 Chrysler & DeSoto Airflow. A very sporty aerodynamic design with the Ford V8 logo on the center of the skirt where the lock mechanism hole was hidden in the 8. Source: The Early Ford V8 Club's 1934 Ford Restoration Book I love them on my 34's. I had a set on my 41, but they were flat and without an ornament. Probably a similar one could work on the 35 Ford.

Dan: As the attached article will show, fender skirts, often called "pants" back then, didn't become a dealer installed accessory until the '37 model (shown). I didn't find any examples of earler use in my archives, but those I have seen over the years resembled those in the photo. Those could have been adapted, homemade, or sold by the many vendors such as Western Auto.
