I'm planning to replace the original steering box with a '37 unit. Besides four rivets, is there anything (such as welds) which secures the steering box mount to the frame? Thanks!

There should be only rivets. I did the same change on a 36 Ford.

There is a spot weld on the top of the bracket/frame that does hold the bracket to the frame. After you remove the four rivets you can pry the bracket loose. The spot weld breaks fairly easily.

Had removed upper rivets and heads of lower ones. Thought could pry the bracket out w/o fully removing lower rivets first. The spot weld explains lack of success. Thanks!
