Go with the Napa shocks. The KYB's tend to be very stiff and give a harsh ride in old Ford. I've used Napa shocks on all my cars(old Fords).

I found the shocks at PEP Boys to be almost exact replacements for my 1949 Ford. And the price was fair. All you have to do is paint them black and install.

NAPA shocks work well. I have them on my '47. I'm not familiar with KYB shocks, but we have found that gas shocks are often a bit stiff. Most shocks have gas in them to suppress bubbles in the fluid, but some makers overdo it, in my opinion.

I'm looking to buy shocks for my 48 Ford Conv. I have priced NAPA at $16 and KYB at $32. Are KYB worth the extra money?? Thanks
