Finally got my 36 on the road. Can't seem to get it over 40 mph floored. Any thoughts. Thanks

Check the following: Air cleaner for blockages caused by rodents, wasps or other vermin Exhaust system and muffler for the same Make sure the fuel tank is properly vented Check the fuel pump for proper amount of fuel delivery

36 FORD with engine off, check for FULL THROTTLE, make sure you have the correct throttle rod, and the rod from gas pedal to the limkage, something might be a obstruction or bent also check which carburetor you are using, should be a 48 years ago a friend had a similar problem., he had installed a 60 horse power carburetor I found the problem, I think carcrazy had a few good points to check out, hope this helps, 37Ragtopman
