Door hinge installation / positioning

New to this forum. Hope someone can help. 36 Ford 5 window coupe. Are the top and bottom hinges mounted in the same direction? One piece of each hinge is relatively flat while the other piece has a curve to it. Does the curve side go to the front on each hinge, to the rear on each hinge or do they alternate - top hinge to the rear, bottom to the front?...Pics attached. Appreciate any advise.

The curved ones go to the front.

Sorry, I don't understand. The top one has factory rivets attaching the curved one to the door.

Even though it may seem a bit counter-intuitive, numerous Ford archive photos (and my own experience over the years with eight '35-'36s of U.S. manufacture) show the bottom hinge section with the curl attached to the cowl.
