The only reason I'd asked is in an attempt to ascertain whether or not the body mount pads had been replaced and if so, how long ago. If you find the old ones are dried and cracked, the fix may be simple. Let's hope

Mike, I really don't know. I have been told the original restoration was performed in the 70's. I would assume the body was removed or mated to the frame. The body is in good condition, however the rest of the card needs work, wiring, springs, etc. I looked pretty on the surface, but i have found some issues underneath, Lessons learned. Best, Fred

Hinges can be bent but I prefer to do that prior to painting. I have found that the factory fit on 41 - 48 is typically poor. Especially '46 - '48. If your gaps are even top to bottom and are about the same width at the A pillar and B pillar, I'll stick with my initial advice. Was this car (body) removed the frame at some point? If so, how long ago?

I'd start by adding a shim beneath the B pillar. Start with a shim of about 1/8" thickness. See what that does. You may have to add.

I have a 41 Convertible and the doors height appears to be off about an 1/8 of an inch. They work fine and the door gaps are pretty straight. Would like to correct if possible. Any advice is much appreciated! Photos attached.
