The wiring harness on my 1936 Ford Model 68 needs to be replaced. I purchased a harness from Mac's, but need instructions. Particularly, removing the harness from the end of the steering column.

Do you have the Ford Reference Book for 1936 Ford V-8? Some call it the Owner's Manual. That has the wiring diagram in it. The harness at the end of the steering column is a twist and pull off attachment. Clean it up and you should see an 'L' stamping in the casing. Twist it slightly and then it should pull off. Once cleaned, put on some 'gripper' gloves and that will help you twist it off.

be sure to check all the bullet ends to make sure they are all soldered, so will not pull out and cause problems down the road and make sure they are the correct gauge wire, 37Ragtopman I used RHODE ISLAND wiring, comes with complete diagram
