i need to replace or re-chrome my bumpers. does anyone have any recommendations on replacement bumpers ., who to buy from ? also the quality of stainless steel bumpers ? thanks

I would shop local platers and have them replated. Have them use "acid Copper" for the copper layer. This will fill in small imperfections and give a lasting job.

As suggested by TomO, rechrome your originals. Your originals are spring steel and the reproduction ones are not.

Hi glenn d. Welcome to the V-8 Club Forums! Replace: no Rechrome: yes Breathing: deeply several times Find the best concourse quality shop. Get in line. Label the parts with parts tags, photo before sending. Give them the pics. Buy the wife earrings.

my 2 cents, check this out The front and rear bumpers are different, the rear has more of a curve, then the front, this is to match the curve in the BODY, there are 2 different part numbers in the FORD GREEN BIBLE I went with rechroming the ORIGINALS doing the hard prep work might save you some $ ASK the chrome shop first, what need to be done, Hope this helps, regards 1937RAGTOPMAN
