Mustang, With what little information you've offered, it's difficult for any of us to offer any reliable advice. Other than, and has already been posted, the cylinder head is to fit a 36 Ford. If that other date is cast upon or into the head, then that tells us the head is a service replacement part made in 1948. As this head could have been installed on a variety of engines (years), it'll take more information to narrow down the correct ID.

The 68-8050 number is the part number for the cylinder head (1936 Model Year). I'm not sure what the date code (7-30-48) represents - maybe the casting date or year of rebuild?
