  The 68-8050 number is the part number for the cylinder head (1936 Model Year). I'm not sure what the date code (7-30-48) represents - maybe the casting date or year of rebuild?

  Mustang, With what little information you've offered, it's difficult for any of us to offer any reliable advice.
Other than, and has already been posted, the cylinder head is to fit a 36 Ford.
If that other date is cast upon or into the head, then that tells us the head is a service replacement part made in 1948.
As this head could have been installed on a variety of engines (years), it'll take more information to narrow down the correct ID.
