I am typing this for my husband. He pulled the solenoid off to clean and now it acts as if it wants to start but never does. Is there anyway for my husband to speak to you.

If you are a member, suggest you check the EFV8 Club directory for someone in your vicinity.

Have your husband check the wiring of the solenoid. The stud on the passenger side of the solenoid goes to the starter, the center terminal has one wire that goes to the starter button and the stud on the drivers side of the solenoid has the battery cable, a yellow wire the feeds the rest of the car and a yellow wire with a green tracer that goes to the horn relay. The solenoid should be mounted with the button or raised center on the bottom.

Common mistake is to install the solenoid backwards. The cable from the battery connects to the right hand big terminal side along with the smaller wires that feed the system. The other side big terminal goes to the starter only. For those taking anything for the first time, take a photo before you start.
